With the SKM LC, Cherry GmbH offers a cost equivalent alternative to conventional rotary selectors

Auerbach, 06/02/2008 -  Cherry GmbH expands its portfolio of infrared touch controls and presents the cooktop control SKM LC in time for the start of Domotechnica on 18 February in Cologne. This year's tradefair will show once again that the trend towards infrared cooktop controls continues to hold strong. More and more manufacturers are choosing this more convenient type of cooktop and oven control over conventional selectors. Only the cost factor prevented the use of infrared technology across the board, from introductory models right through to premium cookers. With the SKM LC, Cherry GmbH now presents a cost equivalent alternative to conventional selectors, which also offers a wide range of additional functions. SKM LC – Single-board solution with extensive features The optimized-surface single-board solution of the SKM LC offers a wide range of functions. In addition to a heat boost and a basis alignment function (with fully-automatic sensor calibration), the SKM LC also offers operating time limitation and the function known as the child lock, a lock function for the protection of children. The SKM LC is equipped with an error code and residual heat display, as well as a 10mm large digital display per heater. The desired heater is selected via a toggle sensor and a central plus/minus sensor is integrated for selecting the heat setting. The SKM LC already fulfils all requirements of the 2nd amendment of EN 60335, including VDE T105 approval. At the request of the customer, a buzzer function and an additional zone can be added to one heater. The infrared touch control SKM LC is available for installation horizontally and vertically in a central position. Cherry GmbH at domotechnica from 18.02. – 21.02. in Cologne: Hall 10.1, Stand E 11
